AbstractWe report the first experimental realization of a narrow-band polarization-entangled photon source at MHz level through cavity-enhanced spontaneous parametric down-conversion. The measured linewidth is 9.6 MHz, which is comparable to the typical linewidth of atomic ensemble based quantum memories. Single-mode output is realized by introducing a reasonable cavity length difference between different polarizations and the use of temperature controlled etalons. We make a direct measurement of the coherence length through two-photon Hong-Ou-Mandel interference, with a result of 32 m. The entangled property is characterized with quantum state tomography, given a fidelity of 94% between our state and the maximal entangled state $|φ^->$.
